The SJPI’s admissions staff can help you discover your own unique aptitudes if you’re unsure what career might be right for you. During this critical time, they’ll walk you step-by-step through the admissions process and help you find answers to all your questions about schedules, career paths, and course availability.

They will also inform about available scholarships, internships and job placements, that can help you decide how to finance your future. Whether you are a high school student about to graduate, a parent looking into the SJPI as the school of choice for your child, or someone wanting to make a career change, we help you learn a skill that will get you into the workforce sooner.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION:

Step 1: Check the SJPI list of available programmes for 2026-2027

Step 2: Collect the following documents and have them ready to submit with the application:

• All documents to be submitted MUST be certified/notarized. 
• Barbados Identification Card (applicable to Barbadians only) (Both sides of card)
• Valid Passport (Biographical Page)(For Overseas students only)
• Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
• Legal affidavit or deed poll if the name is different from that on the Birth Certificate.
• Academic Qualifications (GCE, CXC, CAPE, CSEC, Professional Certificates/Diplomas)
• Grade slips (these are accepted only in cases where the certificate is not yet available) 

Step 3: Visit our website www.sjpi.edu.bb and you will be guided to complete a short survey.

Step 4: On submission of the survey, click on the apply now link on our website.

Step 5: REGISTER NOW to create your own personal account.

Step 6: When reviewing the application, make a note of the APPLICATION ID which is located at the top left of the form. 

Step 7: Submit/Confirm your application.

ALL EARLY APPLICATIONS ARE FREE.  However, late applications will only be received for the undersubscribed programmes.  There is a late application fee of $40.00 and this MUST be paid to the SJPI Cashier before completing the application at the SJPI. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE

Official Transcripts (must be sent directly from the granting institution) Please do not submit secondary school progress reports. Progress reports are NOT transcripts.  Persons who have qualifications from overseas institutions should make contact with the Barbados Accreditation Council (BAC) at (246)-535-6740 or info @bac.gov.bb to have their certification evaluated as soon as the application has been completed.

PERSONS AWAITING EXAMINATION RESULTS 

If you are awaiting results from examinations recently taken, you should submit the examination result slip(s) to the email address studentservices@sjpi.edu.bb.  Please enter your Full Name and the Programme you applied for in the subject line of the email.

CHANGE OF CHOICE 

After submitting the application, you will NOT be able to make any changes to the information online.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CREATE OR MAKE ANOTHER APPLICATION.  Should you need to make a change to your application, please www.sjpi.edu.bb, go to Prospective Students, then Document Library for Prospective Students and complete the SS1A – Application Change Form or SS16 – Change of Applicant Personal Information.  

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BEGININNG THE APPLICATION 

1. Applicants MUST be at least 16 years old by August 15 of the same year.
2. *Applicants MUST submit only ONE application of ONE choice.
3. Online applications are FREE.
